Digital Video Effects refers to the manipulation of video to re-size images or objects in 2D and 3D space. Originally such facilities were supplied as separate machines (boxes) but now they are included as an integral part of systems such as vision mixers/switchers, editing systems and graphics equipment. The list of effects varies but may well include zoom and position, rotation, 3D perspective, page turns, picture bending and curls, blurs, and more. Picture quality and control also widely vary depending on the processing techniques used.
